Often times when we come to the Lord we think that from now on our life will get easier. This is not the case. We are now in the war. We are a target

The Lord is long suffering

The Children on Isreal - they walk away

The Lord is long suffering
2 Peter 3:9
2 Peter 3:9 (NKJV)
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
b. Psalm 86:15
Psalm 86:15 NKJV
But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth.
Why is He longsuffering
1 Timothy 1:16 NKJV
However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.
AS a pattern to those who are going to believe
God want you to live intentionally
He care for about your testimony.
We get what we sow.
Romans 2:6 “who “will render to each one according to his deeds”:”
Galatians 6:7 “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.”
Who God loves he chastens/disciplining
Hebrews 12:6 “For whom the Lord loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives.””
Revelation 3:19 “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.”
Roman 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

He raised up Samson to judge/save Israel

Raised in a Christians Home
Teach us what we shall do unto the child
Judges 13:8 “Then Manoah prayed to the Lord, and said, “O my Lord, please let the Man of God whom You sent come to us again and teach us what we shall do for the child who will be born.””
Judges 13:12 “Manoah said, “Now let Your words come to pass! What will be the boy’s rule of life, and his work?””
Was a Nazarite - Numbers 6
Not to drink or eat from the vine
Do not touch dead Body
The mark of his dedication would be his uncut hair.
2 Corinthians 6:17 “Therefore “Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.””
Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
Yet Samson chose to despise what he was set apart to accomplish.
He aloud the Lust of the eyes to sway him
Judges 14:1Judges 14:1 “Now Samson went down to Timnah, and saw a woman in Timnah of the daughters of the Philistines.”
went down to Timnah
Timnah was the nappa valley of the region
It also layed beyond the borders
Ex 34:16 “and you take of his daughters for your sons, and his daughters play the harlot with their gods and make your sons play the harlot with their gods.”
Deut 7:3 “Nor shall you make marriages with them. You shall not give your daughter to their son, nor take their daughter for your son.”
Gen 24:1-4 “Now Abraham was old, well advanced in age; and the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things. So Abraham said to the oldest servant of his house, who ruled over all that he had, “Please, put your hand under my thigh, and I will make you swear by the Lord, the God of heaven and the God of the earth, that you will not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell; but you shall go to my country and to my family, and take a wife for my son Isaac.””

Note that he told his parents; he did not ask them. And when they reminded him of God’s law, he defied them. “Get her for me,” he insisted, “for she pleases me well!” It did not bother Samson that his desires displeased his parents.
