Halfhearted Change (Hosea 6)

Have you ever known someone who claimed to change, and didn’t?

The people halfheartedly repented. (1-4)

The Israelites were not genuine in their repentance.

Sorry I got caught

God sees through false repentance.

We can not fool God with false repentance.

God punishes halfhearted repentance. (5-11)

The so-called repentance of the Israelites was punished.

Can’t fool me

We will face the consequences if we think we are fooling God.

We can practice true repentance.

We can only have a right relationship with God through genuine repentance.
