Born Again?

OVERFLOWING GRACE GOD’S LOVING FAVOR IN MY INADEQUACY RESULTING IN OVERFLOWING BENEFITS. JOHN 1:1-5 AS GOD AND CREATOR, HOPE IS FOUND IN JESUS. JOHN 1:6-18 JESUS IS THE SOURCE OF GRACE AND TRUTH, AND MAN MUST CHOOSE IF HE WILL BELIEVE IN THIS JESUS. JOHN 1:19-2:11 THE REALITY OF JESUS (AS REVEALED BY THE MANY WITNESSES) SHOULD LEAD YOU TO BELIEF. JOHN 2:12-25 MAN MUST BE WILLING TO ACCEPT WHAT IS TRUE ABOUT JESUS. Born Again? JOHN 3:1-21 BORN AGAIN? 1. The reality of Jesus’ teaching and life should make you question the spiritual implications. 3:1-4 2. Being “born again” is about spiritual transformation. 5-8 3. Belief in Jesus results in eternal life avoiding God’s judgement. 9-15 BORN AGAIN? 4. God’s love for humanity gives man the opportunity to believe to be removed from judgment. 16-18 5. The verdict: choose to live life your own way resulting in condemnation or allow God to transform your life. 19-21 The verdict: choose to live life your own way resulting in condemnation or allow God to transform your life. 19-21 • Factual Truth 1: Rejecting the light of Jesus is a result of choosing to go one’s own way. 19-20 • Factual Truth 2: Those who believe the truth can only do what is right because of what God has done in their life. 21 WHAT YOU BELIEVE IMPACTS ETERNITY! BELIEVE IN JESUS BECAUSE THE CONSEQUENCES HAVE ETERNAL IMPACT! APPLICATION 1. Asking questions is good: truth is only found in Jesus Christ. 2. These theological truths should function as a warning and an encouragement: warning of what life without believing in Jesus results in and encouragement that our standing before God is not based upon our work but God’s work. APPLICATION 3. You essentially have one choice in life: live life your own way or choose to believe in Christ. BELIEVE IN JESUS BECAUSE THE CONSEQUENCES HAVE ETERNAL IMPACT!
