Jesus didn’t die to keep us safe. He died to make us dangerous! Christianity is not holding down the fort. It’s storming the gates of hell. The will of God is not an insurance plan; it’s a daring plan. The complete surrender of our lives to the cause of Jesus Christ isn’t radical; it’s normal. When did we start believing that God wants to send us to safe places to do easy things? Halfway is not way to live. It’s time to quit living as if the purpose of life is to arrive safely at death. It’s time to go all in.
Matthew 5:13 ““You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt should lose its taste, how can it be made salty? It’s no longer good for anything but to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.”
What does salt even do?
preservative
Our body needs salt to conduct nerve impulses, contract and relax muscles, and helps to maintain a healthy balance of water and minerals!
Salt serves a purpose!
Jesus’ use of this metaphor is Him saying that each and every one of us were created on purpose for a purpose!
Pastor Aaron what is my purpose? Philippians 2:13 “For it is God who is working in you both to will and to work according to his good purpose.”
We have to stop looking at God’s word through the lens of theology and look at it through a lens of intimacy, the conversation reads completely differently.
Intimacy is defined as a “close familiarity or friendship; closeness.” We all long for unconditional acceptance and closeness. We want to be cared for, known, understood, and loved!
When you are in a true relationship with God, you will find your purpose and God’s plan for your life!
A plan and purpose for your life can only be found when you look for it. Are you even looking?
If you are looking, are you looking at the world and social media to tell you what to think and who to be?
Just as salt was created to serve a purpose, are you serving in your purpose?
And if you don’t rest in the fact that God created you and loves you and has a purpose for you, you won’t serve in your purpose. God say’s you will no longer be good for anything but to be thrown out and trampled under peoples feet.
It’s sounds really harsh but that’s why God gives us choice. When you find Jesus, you’ll find your purpose.
Instead of what do I want to be? Who do I want to be? What is my identity and who am i?
Flip the question: God, what kind of man do you want me to be? God, what kind of woman do you want me to be?
When we are young we are completely fascinated by what everyone else says about us!
Social media is 2 seconds away from telling me what they think about me.

What happens when you do nothing and just live your life on your terms? What ever feels good.
What happens when we live ALL IN and live with a purpose?
