We previously discussed Why We Gather together, when we examined Hebrews 10:25 and surrounding.
But we did not answer some questions regarding the reason we do certain things WHEN we Gather.
We did talk about the WHY, and we have covered tithes and offerings, as well as Baptism and Communion. But what about the ‘other stuff’.

What then, brothers and sisters? Whenever you come together, each one has a hymn, a teaching, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Everything is to be done for building up.
since God is not a God of disorder but of peace.
As in all the churches of the saints,
But everything is to be done decently and in order.

Simple enough, things are happening, people need to be informed.
We are working on developing a formate that is clear, concise, and gives all necessary information; without going overboard. If you have idea, please let us know!
Praise
Praise
Not that long ago we did an entire series over Praise: SING!
What then, brothers and sisters? Whenever you come together, each one has a hymn, a teaching, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Everything is to be done for building up.
Whenever you come together, have a hymn! Sing a song. Praise the Lord.
I will bless the Lord at all times;
his praise will always be on my lips.
But you are holy,
enthroned on the praises of Israel.
An expression of worship which recognizes and acknowledges God as the ultimate source and giver of all good gifts.
In the OT the words for praise mainly used are hālal, the root meaning of which is connected with making a noise (cray aloud) ; yādâ, which was originally associated with the bodily actions and gestures which accompany praising (dancing) ; and zāmar, which is associated with the playing or singing of music.
The Heb. word oftenest used for praise is hillēl, perhaps an onomatopoetic Semitic root meaning ‘cry aloud.’
The imperative of the Hebrew verb, followed by the Divine name, gives us Hallelujah, i.e. ‘Praise ye Jah.’
The word Hallel means ‘Praise,’ and the name was given on account of the oft-recurring word Hallelujah (‘Praise ye the Lord’) in these psalms
Hallelujah!
Sing to the Lord a new song,
his praise in the assembly of the faithful.
Praise, therefore, is a mark of the people of God (1 Pet. 2:9; Eph. 1:3–14; Phil. 1:11).

Lectionary
shouldn't it be more evangelical in nature?
shouldn't it be more evangelical in nature?
NO! This Gathering we are currently in is a Gathering OF BELIEVERS! It is FOR believers.
And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ, until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son, growing into maturity with a stature measured by Christ’s fullness.
Wasn’t it necessary for the Messiah to suffer these things and enter into his glory?” Then beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted for them the things concerning himself in all the Scriptures.
All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness,
I gave you milk to drink, not solid food, since you were not yet ready for it. In fact, you are still not ready,
But even if you should suffer for righteousness, you are blessed. Do not fear them or be intimidated, but in your hearts regard Christ the Lord as holy, ready at any time to give a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you.
