today- how to not miss the one

we have talked about how easy it is to go through my life focused on all the things I have on my regular to do list

we ought to live not so focused on only our selves

more than simply considering that it is selfish not to share the gospel and the community we have

once we do see more than just our goals in the world, we have to see the ones searching for something more

Luke 19

a man who went out of his way to see the savior even though he would not have been considered the kind of person who would

he might even just be curious

Jesus makes a point to go to him of all the people in the crowd in a big city like Jericho

Jesus calls him by name and stays at his house while in Jericho

the man they all call a sinner turns his life around

Jesus does what he came to do, he seeks after him and saves him

people seeking after what is lost

people who are lost often realize it better than we do

a son returning home

we have the choice to be like the father and be welcoming or to be like the son and be unforgiving

Application

its one thing to understand I need to be evangelistic

and to understand that I can do that just one person at a time

its a whole other thing to be actively seeking out that one person

its difficult but it is what we are called to and the example we are shown
