7 It was Moses’ practice to take the Tent of Meeting and set it up some distance from the camp. Everyone who wanted to make a request of the Lord would go to the Tent of Meeting outside the camp.
8 Whenever Moses went out to the Tent of Meeting, all the people would get up and stand in the entrances of their own tents. They would all watch Moses until he disappeared inside. 9 As he went into the tent, the pillar of cloud would come down and hover at its entrance while the Lord spoke with Moses. 10 When the people saw the cloud standing at the entrance of the tent, they would stand and bow down in front of their own tents. 11 Inside the Tent of Meeting, the Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend. Afterward Moses would return to the camp, but the young man who assisted him, Joshua son of Nun, would remain behind in the Tent of Meeting.
Exodus 30:13-15
17 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 18 “You shall also make a basin of bronze, with its base of bronze, for washing; and you shall put it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and you shall put water in it. 19 Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet from it;
Here Moses wanted the Priest to wash themselves, as we all enter the presence of God, people needed to be clean.
Revelation 1:6 (NLT)
6 He has made us a Kingdom of priests for God his Father. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.
Under the New Covenant we given the positon we know as a Son and as a Daughter, and then after that the title of Priest.
Priests-to go before the Lord on behalf of-as a Pastor that is one of my primary roles. But also you have that role, I believe the way God truly sees it is that we are part of the body, for a function, in the grand scheme, but also individually have been given rights to be a priest.
