1 Timothy 1:3 “As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,”
The first part of verse 3, has 4 personal pronouns: two belonging to Paul and two belonging to Timothy.
The personal pronouns within the first part of verse 3 emphasizes the personal nature of this charge. The charge comes from Paul and is for Timothy.
Consider a few points of emphasis regarding the personal nature of the charge.
Paul - Paul issued the charge. Paul was “an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ.”
