Review

A few weeks ago we started a series called “First Things First” This is because I would suggest to all of you there are certain things that God desires first from us, and first for us as His children, and His disciples that are very important for us to understand and acknowledge.
Because how many of us want to know Jesus, know who has he created me to be, to do, to become. Point of these three larger points were are looking at is Worship.
Worship is something the Father is seeking after. If my Father is seeking something, I want to position myself to be found by him. Abraham was then identified as the first person
Often times when I come home and Erica is there she will say hello how is your day,
Exodus 7:16
16 And you shall say to him, ‘The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, sent me to you, saying, “Let my people go, that they may Worship me in the wilderness.” But so far, you have not obeyed.
Paul wrote in I Corinthians that these things were written for our instruction, I Corinthians 10.
Worship is important because that is why he brought us out of darkness, and it is something our Heavenly Father is seeking after.
There is a protocol to getting into his presence, to connecting where all of who are is is encountering a Holy God, who is looking for worship.

Tabernacle-Review

So God brings Isreal out of Egypt, He leads them by a Cloud by day, and Fire by night
The Door is Jesus
His Courts then are places of praise and Thanksgiving where we can Rejoice in the fact that Jesus delivered out of oppression, confusion, and tyranny.
Brazen Altar sacrificing our lives-
Sacrifice can hurt, it is truly I believe us, God asks us to give our bodies as living sacrifices to him.
Take notes, lean in, but I want to experience God in a way that does not leave me the same, but where these Old Testament stores are not things we learn about, we all can testify to.

Exodus 30:17-19

Exodus 30:17–19 NASB 2020
17 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 18 “You shall also make a basin of bronze, with its base of bronze, for washing; and you shall put it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and you shall put water in it. 19 Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet from it;
These functions in the Tabernacle were outlines in detail. I believe because God is a God of specifics and details.
When you ask God are you specific? Have you documented what you are praying for. Is there a journal of your life and record you are creating of God’s faithfulness.
You and I have been engrafted into this priesthood
1 Peter 2:9 NLT
9 But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.
You and I are called to be priests, to function as the intermediary for the world and God. See Jesus is our High Priest, but you and I are also priests to our God for the world. To petition God on their behalf.
The Priestly system presents different functions for sacrifices. One of the most prominent functions was atonement (Lev 4–5). The Priestly system provided a way in which Israelites could atone for transgressions that threatened the preservation of divine presence within the camp. Through sacrifices, the Israelites could atone for sins that transgressed divine social ordering as well as diseases and discharges that transgressed the divine ordering of the body (Lev 4–5, 12, 14). Through this religious system, P could maintain the divinely ordained order of creation in the camp and thus maintain God’s presence among His people. This leads us into the Brazen Lavar-

I will say this, that all of these functions in the tabernacle were outlined to be done as Priests.
In the New Testament there are not longer limitations to the blessings of being a priests, or the responsibility of being a priest.
This large bowl was made for washing, and without washing we might not be able to get into Holy Place. We all need a washing, we all need cleansing.
Washing and purity always happened in the Old Testament, people would have baptismal in their home. They would have huge cisterns that would hold water so they can be cleansed.
Ephesians 5:26 NASB 2020
26 so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,
Paul writing about marriage, Husbands and wives, who is the churches Husband?
God instructs men to do this because of their place of authority. Once again order and a pattern of protocol.
It is our position to God in to the holy place clean, so that we are able to interact with God on behalf of others.
He says “Priesthood” because of the oblation that is made by prayers and instruction, through which souls are gained.” Clement of Alexandria, c.195.

After this washing we as priests then can go into the Holy Place.
This is through the veil that was specifically made of goats hair and fine linen, White, Scarlet, blue and purple.
Royal Colors- speaks to our identity as valued people who enter into this space.
Upon entrance through the veil
Here the lampstand, made of Gold, something valuable, Representing the 7 fold Spirit of Jesus. that only God can give, filled with Oil.

Isaiah 11:1–2 ESV
1 There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit. 2 And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.
The essence of Jesus and His Spirit are one, we cant separate God, He is three in one, and one in three.
It is like a dance we have been invited into that has no beginning and no end.
As the band and usher come forward to Partake of Communion.
These manifestations of the Holy Spirits work through Jesus is available for all of us.
Set up communion! Maybe you know you saved, but you feel distant. If you feel distant, maybe come back to the pattern and protocol of Going into His presence.
You might need wisdom
You might need Understanding
You might need Counsel
You might be here and need strength to overcome, a sudden burst of power
You might need supernatural knowledge about a situation
You might need a greater level of the fear of God-it is by the Fear of God we depart evil

MT 26:26
Matthew 26:26–28 NLT
26 As they were eating, Jesus took some bread and blessed it. Then he broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, “Take this and eat it, for this is my body.” 27 And he took a cup of wine and gave thanks to God for it. He gave it to them and said, “Each of you drink from it, 28 for this is my blood, which confirms the covenant between God and his people. It is poured out as a sacrifice to forgive the sins of many.
