Intro

A month ago we had our United Vision night and we introduced a phrase that is for the entire year
The phrase was “Make Heaven Crowded”

What Heaven Looks Like

The goal of this is to get you to see that you have a role and job when it comes to your faith
Revelation 7 tells us what heaven will be like
Revelation 7:9–10 ESV
9 After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
John when writing Revelation sees heaven and declares that there is a great multitude of people, that cannot be numbered
These people are from every tribe, nation, and people group
They are people from all over that have been saved by Jesus
Our challenge for this year is very simple, we want to Make Heaven Crowded
Every event that we put on, every teaching that we do, everything that happens has one purpose behind it - to make heaven crowded
The goal of REVO Students this year is to help you invite your friends, equip you to share the Gospel, and train you to help your friends grow in their faith
The goal is to get you to evangelize
To reach your friends for Jesus
To help you Make Heaven Crowded with your friends and family, with the people that you go to school with
However, before you can start Making Heaven Crowded there is a couple questions that you need to answer for yourself

Do you see the need?

John tells us that there will be a multitude of people that will be in heaven
Here’s the first question
Do you see the need?
Do you see the need to help reach people and bring them to Jesus?
Do you see that there are people that are lost and far from God?
Matthew 9:37–38 ESV
37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
Jesus tells us that the harvest is plentiful
That means that there is people all over that are far from God, lost and in need of a savior
Do you see the need?
Can you look out at your school, family, friends, the people you are around and see the need?
Matthew 7:13–14 ESV
13 “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
Jesus tells us that the way to heaven is narrow - it’s choosing Him and fleeing the world
He tells us that many will enter the wide gate, the gate that leads to death and separation from God
Do you see the need?
Can you identify the need?
Pray that we will see the need in our schools, friends, families, and places of work

Do you care?

The next question that must come is this
Do you care?
Do you care about the lost? The far from God?
It’s one thing to see a need, it’s another to care about it
Matthew 28:19 ESV
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Jesus tells us plainly, go and make disciples
AKA go and share the Gospel, help people move from death to life
Jesus tells us Make Heaven Crowded
We are called to go and seek those that are far from God
But do you care about the lost?
Do you care about your friends that don’t know about Jesus?
Do you care about your family members that don’t know Jesus?
Listen to what will happen to them if you don’t care about the need
Revelation 20:11–15 ESV
11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. 13 And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. 14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
This is at the end of time, after Jesus comes back, after we are all taken up
John in Revelation tells us that every person that has ever existed will stand before Jesus and be judged
There is no hope for anyone that hasn’t accepted Jesus as Savior
This isn’t a court case where they can plead their innocence, this is a sentencing
They have already been proved guilty - their name is not in the book of life - and they are sentenced to eternal separation from God
Make it personal - some of the people that are going to be standing in front of Jesus will be your friends, your family members
I personally believe that we will be present seeing them sentenced
I believe we will see them cast into the Lake of Fire forever
I believe they will be calling out to us, begging us to do something, screaming at us why did you not help me, why did you not tell me? Why didn’t you invite me to church, tell me about Jesus? I would have listened
I believe this is the saddest thing in the world
We will be weeping and crying because we allowed our friends and family to go there
Revelation 21:4 ESV
4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
It’s not until after that judgment is over that the Bible says Jesus will wipe away tears from our eyes, that pain will be no more
We will feel the pain and see those we love being cast in the fire, totally separated
Our mission must be to Make Heaven Crowded
But do you care?
Pray that the Lord will give you a burden for the ones we love that are far from God

What are you going to do?

That leads to the last question
What are you going to do?
The grim reality is that there are so many people that are dying and going to hell
There is so many people that you will interact with on a daily basis that are far from God
Friends and family that you have are far from God, what are you going to do?
If you see the need, and you care about it, what are you going to do?
What should you do?
Our mission this year at Students is to provide easy ways for you to bridge the gap with your friends
Invite them to the dodge ball tournament, invite them to the Halloween party, invite them on a Wednesday night
Pray for them continually
Share Jesus with them any chance you can
We must start seeking them if we are going to Make Heaven Crowded

Conclusion

Students its time we take our faith seriously
It’s time we start to reach out to our friends and families
It time we go and seek them, that we see the needs, and do what we can to get them to Jesus
We need to Make Heaven Crowded
