The Testimony That Overcomes: Part Two
Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony!
Revelation 19:10 I am a fellow servant of yours and your brethren who hold the testimony of Jesus: worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy!
What is a testimony? It is a record of anything written, observed or experienced!
What is the spirit of prophecy? The spirit is the realm of the anointing and prophecy is something in the future that can be brought into the present!
Psalm 22:3 God inhabits the praises of His people!
If God inhabits the praises of His people, who inhabits the complaining of His people?
Psalm 128:1 How blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways! Behold, for thus shall the man be blessed who fears the Lord!
Every Believer in Christ is blessed, but not every Believer in Christ has the same level of blessing.
1. Some Believers still have their EGYPTIAN testimony: The land of not enough! Many are still in Egypt spiritually, physically and or financially! Not enough joy, peace or provision.
2. Some Believers still have their WILDERNESS testimony: The wilderness testimony operates with satisfied with just enough. Their daily needs are met, but they can’t get a surplus, they have become satisfied with just enough.
3. Some Believers have their PROMISED LAND testimony: The Promised Land testimony has moved from the mentality of not enough, and just enough, to go after the promise of more than enough!
How do we overcome Egyptian thinking and Wilderness thinking? We must adopt and embrace the Promises God has given us and live in the land of Promise!
Promise Land Believers know that God inhabits the praises of His people, and God’s people declare this Promise:
I. I Am Too BLESSED To Be STRESSED!
Psalm 128:1 How blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways! Behold, for thus shall the man be blessed who fears the Lord!
I can’t afford to have a single thought in my mind about me that God does not have about me!
Every day of my life, I declare the truth that God’s Presence is in me, God’s Power is in me and God’s Provisions are available to me!
And as a result, I am too blessed to be stressed because I KNOW that:
A. My SIN has been PUNISHED!
Psalm 32:1 How blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered!
I am too blessed to be stressed because:
B. My SPIRIT has been made ALIVE!
Eph 2:1 And you were dead in your trespasses and sins . . .
Eph 2:5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ
I am too blessed to be stressed because:
C. My ADOPTION has been CONFIRMED!
Romans 8:15 . . . but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons and daughters by which we cry out, Abba! Father!
I was born as a spiritual orphan. I did not have a Father and because I did not have a Father I did not have an Identity, and because I did not have an Identity I also did not have a Purpose and because I did not have a Purpose I did not have a Destiny, but praise the Lord, Hallelujah, on October 21, 1980 God adopted me into His family and began calling me His son!
D. A. My ACCESS has been GRANTED!
Eph 2:18 For through Christ we both have access in one Spirit to the Father
E. I. My NAME has been written in the BOOK of LIFE!
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead . . . standing before the throne, and BOOKS were opened; and another BOOK was opened, which is the BOOK of LIFE;
and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the BOOKS, according to their deeds!
Rev 20:15 And if anyone’s name was not found written in the BOOK of LIFE, he was thrown into the lake of fire!
F. My HOME is being PREPARED!
John 14:2 In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you
John 14:3 If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am you may be also!
Promise Land Believers know that God inhabits the praises of His people, and God’s people declare this Promise:
II. I am too ANOINTED to be DISAPPOINTED!
1 John 2:20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One!
There are at least three dimensions to the anointed you have received from the Holy One:
A. The INTERNAL anointing ABIDES in you!
1 John 2:27 As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides IN you . . .
The first dimension of the anointing is the INTERNAL anointing that Abides IN you.
The anointing simply refers to the Presence of the Holy Spirit.
When your human spirit became mingled with the Holy Spirit, your human spirit came alive and the anointing was RECEIVED by you from CHRIST!
Notice how the Apostle Paul describes it in Ephesians 2:22!
Eph 2:22 you are . . . a dwelling of God in the Spirit!
The devil does not want you to know or believe that the DWELLING or the Presence of God is IN you.
If you don’t know that the dwelling of God is IN you then whenever negative circumstances come into your life, you become Too Stressed to know you are Blessed!
And then you begin living beneath your privileges!
The Internal anointing abides or remains with you 24/7 but you do not always sense, discern or feel the presence of the Holy Spirit IN you.
Some people live the majority of their lives with only the Internal anointing, but your Bible describes and Jesus promised another dimension to the anointing.
B. The EXTERNAL anointing COMES upon you!
Acts 1:8 . . . John baptized with water but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit . . . you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come UPON you!
Jesus promised you that sometime after a disciple baptized you in water that He would baptize you with the Holy Spirit.
And when you were baptized by Christ with the Holy Spirit, the Internal anointing that abides IN you will be combined with the External anointing and it results in POWER!
What is the testimony that was written by Luke about Jesus immediately after John baptized Him with water?
Luke 4:14 And Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit.
What did Jesus recognize about His relationship with the Holy Spirit after He was baptized by the Father with the Holy Spirit?
Luke 4:17 And Jesus opened the book and found the place where Isaiah had written, “The Spirit of the Lord is UPON Me, because He has anointed Me to preach!
C. A. The COMBINED anointing OPERATES through you!
Isa 10:27 It shall come to pass in that day that his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil!
How do you experience the internal and external anointing?
Luke 11:10 For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, it will be opened !
Luke 11:11 how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?
In conclusion, what does it mean to be blessed? It means the supernatural presence, power, provision of God has come upon you!
It results in you being too blessed to be stressed, because you know you are too anointed to be disappointed!
