The Master of the Wind

Do you have Jesus on Board ?

Proverbs 13:15 KJV 1900
15 Good understanding giveth favour: But the way of transgressors is hard.
Storms like this are very common on the Sea of Galilee. The Sea of Galilee is an unusual body of water. It is relatively small (thirteen miles long, seven miles wide); but it is 150 feet deep, and the shoreline is 680 feet below sea level. Because the Sea of Galilee is below sea level and is surrounded by mountains, it is susceptible to sudden storms. Winds sweeping across the land come up and over the mountains, creating downdrafts over the lake. Combined with a thunderstorm that appears suddenly over the surrounding mountains, the water stirs into violent twenty-foot waves. The sea can be calm one minute and violent the next. These storms usually do not happen at night. So, these men did not set out in a storm and they did not expect one either, but a storm came anyway!
Pastor Alan Carr
Luke 8:22–25 KJV 1900
22 Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth. 23 But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy. 24 And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm. 25 And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.
Let us Go to the other side
Jesus was on Board
We always seem to see only the worst ( we perish)
Where is your Faith?
Its easy to say you trust Jesus when everything is going good
but when the storms arise in our Life helps us to edify what or who we trust in
Where is our Faith do we really believe God is going to take care of us
Or do we believe he is may or may not come through for me
God is a present help in times of Trouble
Psalm 46:1–3 KJV 1900
1 God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
I Love This and They Arrived
Luke 8:26 KJV 1900
26 And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee.
And they arrived
Think of this Jesus did just what he said they went across to the other side
If you get on board with Jesus no matter what comes up trust Him.
Don’t look at the waves and wind of Life Look to Jesus
Hebrews 4:14–16 KJV 1900
14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 12:1–2 KJV 1900
1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:11 KJV 1900
11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
2 Corinthians 13:11 KJV 1900
11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
Mark 4:35–41 KJV 1900
35 And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. 36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. 37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. 38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? 39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. 40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? 41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
Proverbs 13:20–21 KJV 1900
20 He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: But a companion of fools shall be destroyed. 21 Evil pursueth sinners: But to the righteous good shall be repayed.
