what to do when your self-esteem is at an all-time low
Question:
Have you ever been there?
In a place where you don’t like yourself.
If so, this is the message for you.
if you can navigate your “Low Self esteem” your mental and spiritual health can be on point.
What is Self Esteem?
Self-esteem is how we value and perceive ourselves.
Meaning
Low self esteem is Looking at yourself in a negative light.
What are some examples of Low Self Esteem:
1. You’re a people pleaser
2. you feel needy or unworthy
3. you struggle to build healthy relationships
4. You have poor self-image
5. You experience negative self talk
6. You experience self-doubt
There are two factors that will play a part into our self esteem.
1. Relationship with God
I. Who is God in your life?
II. Where is God in your life?
If God is a priority in your life then his words matter.
2. Identity in Christ
Your self esteem should come from your identity in Christ.
You should always see you how God sees you.
Your identity in Christ helps you to know your worth
3 things that will help build your low self esteem
Your (Self)
Your (Surroundings)
Your (Savior)

Let go of your Past (Self)

In Isaiah 43:18-19, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.”
One of the biggest causes of Low self esteem is past issues or traumas.
and a lot of times we miss the fullness of who we are because we are stuck in a place that God is NOT.
God is doing a new thing in you but he will only do a new thing in new places.
LET IT GO
LET IT GO
YOU BEING HERE RIGHT NOW IS AN INDICATION THAT YOU ARE STRONGER THAN WHAT YOU THINK YOU ARE.

Be Aware of Your Surroundings

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
1 Peter 5:8 (ESV)
Let me just be straight.
There are some people who are putting wood on the fire to your self esteem rather than putting it out.
There are 2 types of people in this word.
Purpose pushers
Purpose killers
Be watchful.
Some of you all are a friend away from loving yourself again.
Here are some ways you can tell if they are someone who contribute to your self esteem.
Do you act weird around them?
Do they act weird around you?
Do they celebrate your success without being negative?
Do they appreciate you?
Are they positive when you’re around?
Are you positive when they’re around?
How do you feel after you talk to them?
Do you feel Drained?
Does your day get ruined when they call?
Are you always paying for the food?
Are you always planning the events?
Are you always doing and not receiving?
These are some questions that help you determine if they are for you.
Because if they are negative,
If they feel like they are the stuff in you are not
If they not on point
if they not .....
Then maybe they are not for you.

Walk Boldly with your Savior
