Why I want to go to Heaven…

John 14:1–4 CSB

“Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to myself, so that where I am you may be also. You know the way to where I am going.”

Revelation 21:1–7 CSB

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. I also saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband. Then I heard a loud voice from the throne: Look, God’s dwelling is with humanity, and he will live with them. They will be his peoples, and God himself will be with them and will be their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; grief, crying, and pain will be no more, because the previous things have passed away. Then the one seated on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new.” He also said, “Write, because these words are faithful and true.” Then he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will freely give to the thirsty from the spring of the water of life. The one who conquers will inherit these things, and I will be his God, and he will be my son.

Heaven is a real place.

Jesus said, “I go to prepare a place for you...”

Not nirvana or some transcendental state of mind.

It is a place he is preparing for us. The most beautiful place you can imagine.

Best church service you have ever attended.

Heaven is home and there is no place like home. This world is not our home. Heaven is...

There will be no sorrow in heaven. No tears, no grief, no crying, no pain, no sorrow...

There will be no more death in heaven...

There will be no more separation in heaven...

No more sickness and disease. Leaves of the trees heal.

No sin in heaven. Sin, wickedness and evil will not enter the city. No more temptation.

Only good people will be there, and they will be good.

The devil won’t be there

Friends and loved ones that have gone before will be there.

. Jesus will be there. He will be the light. We will get to be with Him and the Father forever.

When do we get to go?

When we die…

When we get raptured...

How do we get there?

Jesus said “I am the way” You must be born again.

You can’t earn your way with good deeds and works

You can’t buy you way with money

You won’t get in because you came to church

We must believe on Him...

We need to prepare ourselves and do all we can to convince others to be ready?
