Predestined Us

God’s Divine Decree was to gather a people for himself.

"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me!" John 10:27 Those who are really chosen by God, hear and heed the voice of Christ. Those who are not Christ's chosen ones will not heed His discourse, but will listen to the many voices which attract the ears and the hearts of sinful men. God's elect are known by this mark—that they hear the voice of Christ! Just as you can find out whether there are any pieces of steel in a heap of ashes, by simply thrusting in a magnet—so can you find out God's chosen people by the mighty magnet of Christ's voice!

If God would have painted a yellow stripe on the backs of the elect I would go around lifting shirts. But since He didn’t I must preach “whosoever will” and when “whosoever” believes I know he is one of the elect.

C.12 All those that are justified, God granted, in and for the sake of his only Son Jesus Christ, to make partakers of the grace of adoption, by which they are taken into the number, and enjoy the liberties and privileges of the children of God, have his name put upon them, receive the spirit of adoption, have access to the throne of grace with boldness, are enabled to cry Abba, Father, are pitied, protected, provided for, and chastened by him as by a Father, yet never cast off, but sealed to the day of redemption, and inherit the promises as heirs of everlasting salvation.

Redeemed us through His blood and now makes forgiveness of our sin possible because He graciously gave us wisdom, understanding, and an inheritance that was predestined by Gods will.

Redeemed

Adam’s sin is imputed to us in exactly the same way that Christ’s righteousness is imputed to us. We inherit, of course, a sinful nature from Adam; there is no dispute about that. But that is not what condemns us. What condemns us, and makes us subject to death, is the fact that we have all sinned in Adam, and that we are all held guilty of sin.
