Reaping What You Sow (Hosea 8)

Why do people have problems?

The people have caused their troubles. (1-10)

The Israelites chose to rebel against God.

Had it coming

God does not punish for no cause.

We can trust God’s just nature.

The people have instituted false worship. (11-15)

Because of their actions, the people chose to fulfill ritual instead of relationship.

Cheap Chinese knife vs. American or German

We cannot expect to please God with a cheap imitation.

We can avoid empty ritual.

We can choose to genuinely follow God through Jesus Christ.
