1. Sharing what God has given, was God’s idea
1. Sharing what God has given, was God’s idea
5 These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans.
6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
7 And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’
8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
What were their tasks?
Heal the sick
Raise the dead
Cleanse those with leprosy
Drive out demons
There is the physical side of this ministry and there is the Spiritual side”
a. The lost are sick

30 And their scribes and the Pharisees complained against His disciples, saying, “Why do You eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”
31 Jesus answered and said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.
b. The lost are dead
b. The lost are dead
1 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,
12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned—
c. The lost are lepers (unclean)
c. The lost are lepers (unclean)
1 When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him.
2 And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”
3 Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Leprosy was a disease that ate away at a person’s flesh. Spiritually speaking, leprosy represents sin and how it eats away at our lives. The leper was separated from people and was forced to live alone- he was an outcast. Sin always separates us from God and what He has for us.

34 Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.
44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
20 For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
21 What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
24 O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?
25 I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.

10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
2. It doesn’t cost you anything to give.
2. It doesn’t cost you anything to give.
38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”
17 He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, And He will pay back what he has given.
27 He who gives to the poor will not lack, But he who hides his eyes will have many curses.

1 Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.
2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple;
3 who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms.
4 And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, “Look at us.”
5 So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them.
6 Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”
7 And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
8 So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God.
9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God.
10 Then they knew that it was he who sat begging alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.
As believers in Jesus Christ we have been given amazing things:
As believers in Jesus Christ we have been given amazing things:
We have been given the free gift of the Holy Spirit of God
We have been given the free gift of the Holy Spirit of God
38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
We have been given the free gift of eternal life
We have been given the free gift of eternal life
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
We have been given the spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit
We have been given the spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit
7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:
8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit,
9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,
10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.
We have been given salvation as a free gift of God’s grace
We have been given salvation as a free gift of God’s grace
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
Give time.
Give Love.
Give Jesus.
