Is there anything of greater value anything of more worth than God Himself?
Remember that when we think about our theme for this series the Worth-ship of God.
Worthiness = weightiness
Have you ever done a Christmas gift exchange? You want the biggest or the heaviest box.
If you are at the store and something is heavy you tend to think that it is of good quality.
Even though we can’t measure God’s weight, we can’t put him on a scale, we all have an inate sense built in that we ought to worship Him. (imago dei)
If God is the one most worthy the only one worthy of our worship, if He is the most valuable and highest good , then our duty our obligation if we want what is best, is to worship Him. To get as close as possible to Him.
what do you do when you want to communicate with some one how might you do it?
email, text, phone call, face time, face to face.
Which of these is the best way to communicate with a person?
You have said, “Seek my face.”
My heart says to you,
“Your face, Lord, do I seek.”
BUT there are things all around us and within us that seek to hinder this closeness.
How many of you have misunderstood one of those texts?
but your iniquities have made a separation
