Introduction
Luke 21:20–28 NKJV
20 “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. 22 For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. 24 And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. 25 “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; 26 men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”

Introduction

The phrase "Are you serious?" is an informal expression used to question the truth, authenticity, or veracity of something someone has said or done. It can be used in various contexts and with different tones to seek clarification or confirmation. Depending on the tone and context, it can express surprise, disbelief, or skepticism.
For example:
If someone makes a surprising or unexpected statement, you can use this phrase to express your astonishment or to seek clarification.
If someone tells you something unbelievable, you might respond with "Are you serious?" to confirm whether they are telling the truth.
In other cases, it can also be used humorously to question whether someone is being sincere or sarcastic.
Question is: Are you serious?

Point 1: Are you clearly serious?

There was a promise that was made. When the word of God makes a promise, you can bet everything on it coming through:
Acts 1:10–11 NKJV
10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, 11 who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”
It was told to us that Jesus will return in the same manner. In fact, the Bible says a lot to say about this.
Matthew 24:27 NKJV
27 For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
Explanation: Why am I bringing this up? It’s simple. Just as I told you in the sermon Playing Church that many Christians play Christian but the never has never played devil, he is a real devil, so too am I telling you that you must check yourselves and ask, “Am I truly serious about this?” Is it clear to Christians what is going to happen?
Zechariah 14:4 NKJV
4 And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, Which faces Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, From east to west, Making a very large valley; Half of the mountain shall move toward the north And half of it toward the south.
‌One remarkable sign of Jesus' return is the prophecy that He will put His feet on the Mount of Olives, as mentioned in Zechariah 14:4. But here's where it gets intriguing: the Eastern Gate of Jerusalem, also known as the Golden Gate, is believed to be the gate through which the Messiah will enter the city. In an astonishing turn of events, some Muslims sealed this gate and even placed a graveyard in front of it.
They did this because they took the return of Jesus more seriously than most Christians. ARE WE SERIOUS CHURCH??
The Bible says, even the demons believe and tremble!! Legion said, “SON OF THE MOST HIGH GOD” when he came into the path of Jesus.. HOW IS A DEMON GONNA SHOW MORE REVERANCE IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD THAN MOST CHRISTIANS?? ARE WE SERIOUS!?!????
Application: Time is running out and we have to check our motives! There is no time left to play. YOU EITHER GET RIGHT OR YOU GET LEFT. IT’S AS SIMPLE AS THAT.
DO YOU REALLY THINK THE SHEEP ARE GONNA GET SEPARATED FROM THE GOATS ON A SUNDAY AT 10 AM???
HOW ARE YOU LIVING ON A TUESDAY AT 2?? 🕛🕛
WHICH PEN WILL YOU END UP GOING TO ON THE BASIS OF THAT??

Point 2: Are you truthfully serious?

Are you a possessor or just a professor? Are you living it or just speaking it?
Matthew 24:41–42 NKJV
41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. 42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.
Our time on this Earth is limited, and the return of Christ is drawing near. In Matthew 24:42, Jesus himself admonished us, saying, "Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming." We must live our lives with urgency, constantly seeking to grow in our faith and spread the love of Christ. Are we living each day with the realization that our time here is short and that we must be serious about our walk with Jesus?
2. We must be living with an urgency. We do not know the hour but we will know the signs!!! BEHOLD THE LAMB OF GOD!! MAKE STRAIGHT THE PATH OF THE LORD
-

Point 3: Are you deadly serious?

It is getting late and it is serious. The word of God says, “He who promised is faithful.” This also applies to His judgments. He did not just promise blessing, he promised judgment for those who would not turn from their sins.
John the baptist said, “REPENT NOW!! THE KINGDOM OF THE LORD IS AT HAND!!” The word of God says, “SEEK HIM WHILE HE MAY BE FOUND”
Church, I believe we are under what is the biggest altar call in history. I truly feel like I am a pastor under the final call. It’s getting late. It’s getting serious.
I will just leave you with this. The Euphrates river has been there for thousands of years and hasn’t dried up. It is only recently that it began drying.
Revelation 16:12 NKJV
12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared.

Conclusion

‌How are you living? Are you clearly, truthfully, and deadly serious
or are you just playing games?
Altar call.
