Luke 4:21 “And he began to say to them, “Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.””
Acts 19:20 “So the word of the Lord continued to increase and prevail mightily.”
2 Thessalonians 3:1 “Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honoured, as happened among you,”
Jeremiah 23:29 (NIV) — 29 “Is not my word like fire,” declares the Lord, “and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?
Isaiah 55:11 (NIV) — 11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
Psalm 110:3 (KJV) — 3 Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.
Psalm 96:2–3 (NKJV) — 2 Sing to the Lord, bless His name; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. 3 Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.
Ephesians 3:20–21 (NKJV) — 20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
God is committed to perform exceedingly abundantly above whatever we can ask or think
Our thoughts must be consistent with what God has said and spoken to us
Perfected praise - Praise with a known outcome
The praise about the outcome
Prophetic knowledge of the outcome
Praising God because you know the outcome of the situation
When people say you should be mourning, instead you are rejoicing
When His thoughts come in to you there will be peace
When we find the thoughts of God, we will be flooded with peace
Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV) — 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV) — 3 You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.
If we know what God is thinking about a particular situation, there will be peace
When we hear good news about what God is saying to us in any given situation, our hearts will be flooded with peace
if we are still being or have not entered into peace, or we are anxious about a situation, it means that we have not heard from God about that situation
Once you see what God is saying, you enter into a time of peace
Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”
Psalm 85:8 “I will hear what God the Lord will speak, For He will speak peace To His people and to His saints; But let them not turn back to folly.”
Psalm 27:13 “I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living.”
Teach them how to sing to me and I will work miracles in their lives
Psalm 40:1–8 “I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth— Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the Lord. Blessed is that man who makes the Lord his trust, And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. Many, O Lord my God, are Your wonderful works Which You have done; And Your thoughts toward us Cannot be recounted to You in order; If I would declare and speak of them, They are more than can be numbered. Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; My ears You have opened. Burnt offering and sin offering You did not require. Then I said, “Behold, I come; In the scroll of the book it is written of me. I delight to do Your will, O my God, And Your law is within my heart.””
Psalm 40:1–4 (NKJV) — 1 I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. 2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps. 3 He has put a new song in my mouth— Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the Lord. 4 Blessed is that man who makes the Lord his trust, And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
Jonah 2:7–9 (NKJV) — 7 “When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the Lord; And my prayer went up to You, Into Your holy temple. 8 “Those who regard worthless idols Forsake their own Mercy. 9 But I will sacrifice to You With the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord.”
How can I sing in a strange land?
Psalm 137:4 (NKJV) — 4 How shall we sing the Lord’s song In a foreign land?
Psalm 27:3 “Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident.”
Every theology must lead to doxology
Psalm 43:3–4 “Oh, send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill And to Your tabernacle. Then I will go to the altar of God, To God my exceeding joy; And on the harp I will praise You, O God, my God.”
Its in worship that things are transferred
Romans 14:17 (NKJV) — 17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Psalm 61:1–7 “Hear my cry, O God; Attend to my prayer. From the end of the earth I will cry to You, When my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For You have been a shelter for me, A strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings. Selah For You, O God, have heard my vows; You have given me the heritage of those who fear Your name. You will prolong the king’s life, His years as many generations. He shall abide before God forever. Oh, prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him!”
Numbers 6:24–26 ““The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.” ’”
