why is it that God can’t be where sin is and how does Jesus change the rule

2 Corinthians 5

we are working toward reconciliation as Christians

sin separates us from God- Isaiah 59-

in the story of the rich man and lazarus we get the image of the chasm between the two states

more than just separation of place, God in his fullness is never present in the world full of sin but in part and in more humble forms he works

he does so because even though we have failed he loves his creation and wants to spend eternity with us, if only we will want the same and follow him
