Exodus 7:17

Introduction: In the book of Exodus we see God used water to begin the deliverance of the Israelites from Egypt. Today water can apply to our deliverance but in a different way. Let us take a look at how it does so.

Thesis: God used water in the Old Testament, and we see parallels of God using water in the New Testament up to today.

I. Water to Blood

Conclusion: God in His infinite wisdom knew exactly how to save the Israelites. He began with the ten plagues, and then once they passed through the red sea, He closed it in on the Egyptians effectively delivering Israel from the Egyptians with the water of the red sea. Today we have baptism which in Jesus’ blood, represented by water, we are saved. What an amazing God we have
