Romans 6:1-3
We don’t have freedom for lawlessness or moral anarchy.
We can’t have the best of both worlds.
By accepting Jesus Christ, your life is dead to sin.
We can’t make an excuse and say, “I was just born that way, I can’t control myself, that’s just the way I am.”
There is no excuse for sin when we become alive in Christ Jesus.
We can’t be in Christ and live in sin.
We are dead to our past.
We can have a new nature and we can have a new life in Christ Jesus.
If you have selfishness, pride, addictions like meth, crack, cigarettes, alcohol and pornography, those addictions can be put to death through Christ Jesus.
It’s like if you walk across the street to take a visit to the dopeman and get hit by a bus and die, the dopeman comes up and asks you if you have some good stuff. You are dead and you are freed from it.
We no longer have to be a slave to sin. Sin destroys us physically, emotionally and spiritually. Sin stops the fruit of the Spirit from being developed.
When we have been baptized into Christ Jesus, we are no longer outside of Christ.
We have been brought near to Christ. He binds us to Himself.
Apostle Paul said we need not live in sin.
When we walk continually in sin we’re not saved.
Romans 6--what it means to be in Christ
Unified in Christ, we are dead to sin.
You are not going to desire to do the things you used to do.
We aren’t condemned to sin anymore.
Are you ready to come to Christ and live your life for Him?
Some here have thought you have been saved, but there is no evidence of fruit in your life?
Or if you have backslidden and want to come back and live for Jesus Christ come and I will agree with you.
