WORDS OF COMFORT
God comforts us in all our troubles. The Bible says he is faithful in all our troubles. L. D. Campbell says, “all means all!” Psalms 86:15 tells us, (15 But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious,
Long-suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth)
“but you, Lord are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.”
In the 1992 Olympic games, Derek Redmond was favored to win a race. As he turned for the homestretch he tore his crucial ligament and began to limp. A robust man fought his way onto the track. He threw his arm around Redmond and helped him finish. It was the boy’s father.
God rushes to our side to help us through sorrow. He comforts us in all our troubles. Psalms 46:1 encourages us, God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. God is the source of all comfort and God comforts us in all our
