God Equips Us

Moses

7 The LORD said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. 8 So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey—the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites.

Lets just look at the task. thousands of jews enslaved by thousands of egyptians. Egyptians have all the power all the resources and all that is needed to keep the israelites enslaved,
What could the Jews do to remedy this situation? What hope did they have? The answer is zero. They had hope in God yes, but within their own power there is nothing they could do.
THE AREAS IN WHICH GOD WANTS TO EQUIP US ARE IN THE AREAS WHERE WE ARE COMPLETELY POWERLESS WITHOUT HIM
What do I mean by this?
There is nothing wrong with asking fro God’s provision and grace in the mundane, but so many times we look for God to equip us in areas that he has already equipped us in.
Look for the areas in your life where you can do nothing without the provision of God and begin asking Him to equip you to intervene.
TENNESSEE ISNT GOING INTO NEXT WEEK ASKING FOR HELP IN THE RUN GAME

And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them. 10 So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.”

11 But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”

Humility and fear may be relatives, but was so was cain and abel. They can seem the same but there is a difference.
Fear says I cant
Humility says I can as long as you provide
4 times in scripture, God gives Moses a command and Moses offers back nothing but excuses. As legitimate as they may be but he talks about his speech impediment.
Story of me and emma at the park. Just trust me and you will be ok.

12 And God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.”

The answer is not you will be fine. You will figure it out. You will have some supernatural ability. It is I will be with you.
There are times I dont know whats ahead of me. I dont know where I am going. I dont know the outcome but I know God is with me.
KCC must believe at tis core that if the mission is to amke disciples and make Jesus famous in the lives and hearts of this community, then HE WILL BE WITH YOU.
YOU STAND BESIDE ME AND YOU GO BEFORE ME

God Provides An Equipper

Jesus and the disciples
This was different than a supernatural equipping. It was organic, they were fisherman and untrained, They werent public speakers or professional theologians but by the time their time came, Their opposition said that these men spoke like educated men and they had been with Jesus.
Guys one of the ways in which we are equipped is by this place right here.

Who Are You Equipping

God does not equip someone for their own sake but it is for the Glory of Gid and to equip others.

7 But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. 8 This is why it says:

“When he ascended on high,

he took many captives

and gave gifts to his people.” j

9 (What does “he ascended” mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions? 10 He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.) 11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
