The Duty and Priviledge of CHurch Attendance, Part 2 (Hebrews 10:19-25)
In the New Testament if one willingly and deliberately missed the assembly of the saints, the coming together as a church, the churchy assumed that person either never had been saved, or that they had fallen away from grace. They assumed that you the absentee member gone back into the world and fallen away from the Lord or that they never had a personal, genuine relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
This is because they saw worship not only as a privilege, but also a solmn and sacred duty! We are not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together because church attendance is where we
1) Exalt the Lord together, coming into the Holy of Holies with boldness
2) Express our Salvation and hold fast the profession of our faith
3) Encourage one another to do good works for Christ!
Since the days are getting darker, and the coming of Jesus is getting closer, it’s all the more important to attend church regularly!
