God Acts

16 Listen, you who fear God

17 God exalted (raises up) the people

uplifted (powerful) arm brought them out of Egypt

18 for 40 years He bore up their behaviour

19 takes Canaan and gives it to them

20 Gives Judges for 450 years - then Samuel

21 Gives Saul

22 Gives David

23 Gives Jesus

24 Gives John the Baptist before Jesus

25 John the Baptist says I am not worthy

26 Gives the message of salvation to you (but did not know (to disregard it as a throw away item)

27 Inspite of all this, you did not recognize the voice of the prophets

28 with lies you had Pilate execute Jesus

29 After they did all the things that were prophecied they took Him down from the cross and put Him in the tomb

30 but that did not stop Jesus because God raised Him from the dead.

31 there were witnesses to Christ's resurection

32 we proclaim this good news (glad tidings) to the men whom God had made promises

33 One of the promises made to you is found in Psalms 2

34 no more to decay

35 another prophecy says that God will not permit Christ to experience decay

36 as did David

37 GOd raised Him up

38 Christ preached the forgiveness of sin

39 by Christ all who believe will be justified from all things but not by the law of Moses.

40-41 warning of what will happen to despisers (scorner)
