Rephidim

Exodus 17:1 KJV 1900

And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the Lord, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no water for the people to drink.

What does it mean?

Rephidim means a place of rest.

A place where the Israelites camped on their journey through the wilderness Exo 17:1

Temporary rest.

A desert place still

What do you do in a place of rest?

Renew and Revive. Rest is good

A blessing that is made available by God. Hebrews 3:11 (NKJV): 11 So I swore in My wrath,

‘They shall not enter My rest.’ ”

Holy Ghost centered activity. Not necessarily inactivity

Appreciate the season, cease from impatience

Receive strength Isa 30:15

For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: “In returning and rest you shall be saved; In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.” But you would not,

Enjoy His Presence. Exo 33:14

Eat now for the journey is still far

Rephidim is a place of temporary rest. The place of rest between where you left and where you are going.

It behoves us to discern the season we are in properly

not to build a castle where you supposed to build a tent or even nothing at all

we need a spirit of discernment so that we are not running another person journey

perhaps Nigeria is in a place of Rephidim

Just been to 2 funerals.. truth is this life is a Rephidim.. its a temporary place of rest.. this life is not our own, we are just passing through

If you correctly discern that you are in your Rephidim season then take heart, it means you are on the way to the promised land

What does it mean prophetically?

You are on the move. You are not where you used to be

It is not yet Uhuru, this is a bus-stop not the destination

Enjoy where you are on the road to where you are going

Expect the supernatural. Water from the rock.

The place of rest between the 1st and 2nd wind. For a long distance runner

Be careful not to lose sight of the promised land

Some battles will happen but you will win by God’s divine intervention. Ex 17:8-16
