IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO SAVE YOURSELF (VS. 5)
Live by the law you must ALWAYS live by it!
it is impossible to fully live by the law
Paul quotes Leviticus 18.5
5 You shall therefore keep my statutes and my rules; if a person does them, he shall live by them: I am the Lord.
To follow this path, you would have to be perfect every moment of every day for the rest of your lives.
that is not possible for any of us. There has only been one perfect person to walk this earth and His Name Is Jesus!!!!

Jews have been waiting on Messiah to come. He already has ONCE!
Paul tells them they can’t go to heaven and bring Jesus down nor can they go into the abyss/earth/hell/grave, and bring Jesus out of the grave.
He’s quoting Deut 30:12-14 here.
12 It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will ascend to heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’
13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’
14 But the word is very near you. It is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you can do it.
NO ONE CAN GET TO JESUS ON THEIR OWN!!!!
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.
BUT…SALVATION IS POSSIBLE FOR ALL (10:9-13)

JESUS IS LORD OF YOUR LIFE
YOUR SINS
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
BELIVE
GOD RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD!
IF HE WASN’T RASIED, THERE IS NO GOSPEL, THERE IS NO HOPE!
1st Corinthians 15 speaks of this idea!
Remember...
It’s more than just believing in Jesus. The Bible tells us that even the Demons believe in Jesus.
19 You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder!
BELIEF/FAITH MUST LEAD TO ACTION!
CONFESSION IS BELIEF/FAITH ACKNOWLEDGED
OBEDIENCE IS BELIEF/FAITH IN ACTION!
