I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and will come again to judge the living and the dead.

Of all things we should pray for is for Jesus to come into our service.

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common.
You see in acts it is stated we shale all gather to learn and fellowship. We have things in common like being God’s children.

You see when we come in his name we are all connected by the most blessed connection any group can have. The tie of the father in heaven. We are selected to be like the apostles we are to teach and pray together so that we can go out and make disciples of men. That is what God calls us to do. Even in Revelations it says

On the Lord’s Day I was in the Spirit, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet,
in This scripture they are talking about when John had a vision of Christ. and he was in prayer on the Lords day and he heard a vice like a trumpet behind him. Do you think this would be possible if he was not listening for the lord to speak? When we as humans come to gather we worry about what time we get out so we can get a seat at the restaurant or be early for the game or practice. Sundays are ment for the lord and family. How can we hear what God wants from us if we don’t give him a chance to spend time with us. I know I have had my sermon on God is everywhere thrown back at me because you can praise him everywhere. but he calls us to gather in his name. so I ask when we are here let’s give him our devoted attention for this short period of time we are together. We have the unbelievable ability to help each other grow when we come together. When we sing together and worship together we give each other a feeling of joy and acceptance.

Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.
God charges each of us to care for one another with compassion sympathy as well as being humble while doing this. This is when we truly can learn and grow together. I ask us, each time we gather ask ourselves how do we look at those who are different? I heard a story the other day about a man who was in a restaurant and their server had 3 different colors hair and piercing all over her face. he was like what a sight. When a guy he was with asked her how he could pray for her. She broke down in tears and proceed to explain her mother was on her death bed and she was a drug addict and by the end of the discussion she accepted Jesus christ as her lord and savior, the original man I was talking about was humbled because he did not see the lady as the same way Jesus saw her. Do we do this? Do we look at people the way Jesus sees them. When we come together on Sundays we need to realize Jesus accepts us all where we are and how we are. Regardless of our present situation. While we are gathered in front of the lord to worship let’s give him the attention we give to other things in our life.

How many times have we done this? spent time doing something to support our favorite team or family member? doing something we would never do again?This is the kind of dedication God is looking for. Our complete sacrifice for what ever he is asking us to do. When we take the time and dedicate ourselves to God he is pleased. Our purpose in life is to do all God ask us to do. Even when we struggle God creates good from it. So the question remains what Happens on Sunday? I hope at this point you have figured out its not the pastor or the music or the laser show. Not even going somewhere we her what we want to hear. it comes down to what are you putting into listening to what God is trying to tell you? How much time are you spending with God each week, How many people are you spending time with that love the lord and put him first?
