After reading the paperwork sent out bu Jane I hesitated for a moment and asked God, should I mention this? Remember when I do mention this please do not take what I am saying wrongly. God does not need your money. He does want to grow you in faith.
So, how do we grow our faith? Stewardship. God tells us to test him in this part of your lives. Bring the whole tithe to ⌊the storehouse⌋, so that there will be food in my house, and test me please in this,” says Yahweh of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven, and pour forth for you ⌊an overflowing blessing⌋.
W. Hall Harris III et al., eds., The Lexham English Bible (Bellingham, WA: Lexham Press, 2012), Mal 3:10.
We do know who supplies the needs of his people, yet we always need to be reminded.
I want to share a couple short stories. 1. Cleaning lady who attended our church. 2. Mary and I.
What is the service that Paul is referring to? Trusting God to refill your baskets. Do you remember when Jesus and the Disciples fed the 5000? Jesus took a little that was provided by a young boy and he fed the hungry people. There were twelve baskets left over. We should be confident that when we use what little we have , more will be given.
