Battle

Would it be smart to run into battle without a weapon?

1 Peter 5:8 ESV

8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

We are in a battle. We are either fighting it unarmed and alone or with God leading the way.

A World Without Christ

John 6:32–33 ESV

32 Jesus then said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

God brings life into the world.

Without Christ there is no life

1 John 1:5 ESV

5 This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

God is light, another word for hope.

A world without God is a world with no hope.

John 17:2–3 ESV

2 since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him. 3 And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.

In Christ we have eternal life.

Without Christ we have this life only.
