End of Faith
End of Faith
9 for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
The Holy Bible: New International Version (1 Pe 1:9). (1984). Zondervan.
Does faith ever end? Is the text talking about the goal of Faith or the outcome of faith? Or is it suggesting the reward of Faith?
Verse 8 Says though you have not seen him you love him. and believe in him. resulting in an inexpressible and glorious joy. How is this possible though. To believe in someone you have not seen when it is so hard to believe in one you have seen?
Goal of faith Salvation is being received.
2865. κομίζω komízō; fut. komísō, from koméō (n.f.), to take care of. To bring, bear. Reward of Fatih Inexpresible and Glorious Joy.
Why? becasue it saves us from destruction.
The contrast of this is that what we can see only brings destruction of life sadness and not joy.
One faith is greater that gold.
When Faith has done its due diligence. and and fatih becomes sight.
Is it the goal of faith or the goal of your faith. Most MS leave our “your”
Will there be faith in heaven?
Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls - The result or object of your faith; that is, what your faith is designed and adapted to secure. Compare the notes at Romans 10:4. The word rendered receiving is used here as indicating that they would surely obtain that. They even now had such peace and joy in believing, that it furnished undoubted evidence that they would be saved; and such that it might be said that even now they were saved. The condition of one who is a true Christian here is so secure that it may even now be called salvation.
