Game! The good, the bad, and the apple.

Today’s lesson is a lot like a last week. What did we learn about? Kindness!! If y’all have noticed all these fruits of the spirit are starting to be very similar. They are all steps to Christian living. But today, we are going to learn about being good person and doing good unto others.

Who here is a good person?

So does that mean we are good all the time?

No, but we can do our best to be do good unto others with good intentions!

Game - these apple are good inside, one apple is bad. You dont know which one is and which one isnt.

have each kid sit in a line of chairs. Everyone gets an apple, but one is a bad apple. I say the words

“The good, the bad, the tattle. Was it number (2 for example) who poisoned the apple?”

“Whoevers number I say, they have to quick say “Who me?” “Then who could it be?” They say a number and that person poisoned the apple and they give that person an apple. Then we keep repeating it until time is up.

In the end, we cut open the apples to see who had the bad apple.

Point of the game. When you go to do good unto others, give good, not bad. If you had two apples, one rotten and the other good, would you share with your friend and give them the bad apple? No! What does the Bible say about goodness?

New Living Translation Psalm 33

5 He loves whatever is just and good;

the unfailing love of the LORD fills the earth.

So do we think it honors God and he likes it whenever we treat people bad or we are not good people? No! Because the Bible says he loves what is good. So to honor God, because he is good to you, you do good unto others!
