Introduction

Greeting
Welcome hybrid Youth, who is excited its friday? Well im Glad you came to join us for the youth service.
Why
We have started a series teaching through the letter of hebrews and the reason we are teaching this letter is it teaches us important themes like Who Jesus is, what Salvation means and how do we endure in our faith when its hard to endure temptation and hardship.
Story
When i was in high school it was hard because one many people werent christianso you feel like a outsider, also i went to a school where 70 percent were muslims and they critized every part of my faith and it brought me alot of doubt and there constant tempatation becasue everyone is smoking weed or going to parties and getting in relationship. in the the same way these jewish christians where facing doubt, persection and tempatation to live there faith but the author reminds them who jesus is and what he has done and hwo we must endure to recieve our inheritance. Lastlt God is with us becuase in high school even though it was hard God taught me the scripture ans apolgetics which grow my faith and convictions and i learned i wasnt a outsider but i was set apart for God and he had a purpose for my life and temptation is overcomable if we near Gods grace and word.
Last week Summary
Transition
God strengthed in in hardship so looking back i will never regret it. God is using this letter to strength christians all over the world who have questions, doubts or facing hardship and suffering and reminding them who jesus is and what he has done.

Verses 5 - 7

5 For to which of the angels did God ever say,

“You are my Son;

today I have become your Father”?

Or again,

“I will be his Father,

and he will be my Son”?

6 And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says,

“Let all God’s angels worship him.” s

7 In speaking of the angels he says,

“He makes his angels spirits,

and his servants flames of fire

Teaching
The author reminds the people about jesus greatness and he states that jesus is greater then angels then he gaves some distictive reason why his greater then angels.
Jesus is greater then angels becuase he is the son of God, Throughout scripture many people are called sons of God but when its referenced here its that Jesus has a greater status then the angels and he is unquie son of God becuase the angels are called to worship him. This is a important point that author makes becuase many have been confused by the Godhead and they lower jesus divity to his only a man of the oppsite he is only a God and he wasnt human but the unquie teaching os scripture is jesus is both man and God and we are commanded to worship him alongside the father and spirit.
Story
In high school, i was open about my faith and most times many muslims have standard line of questions of memorized criquies and they really brothered me becuase it what they were saying was true about jesus what i belived was a lie and i actually had many doubts becuase of there questions but i came to understand they belived a lie and the overwhelm testimony of Scripture is Jesus is more then a phophet he is God beocome man.
Transition
But jesus isnt just greater then angels or more then a phophet but he has a everlasting Kingdom.

Verses 8 - 9

But about the Son he says,

“Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever;

a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.

9 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness;

therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions

by anointing you with the oil of joy.” x

Teaching
Jesus has a kingdom, a typical kimgdom is where there is a country with citizens and who are subject to the kings rule. Jesus kingdom will not fail or falll rome fall, greece fall, babylion fall but jesus kingdom will never fall. Now you might ask where is this kingdom and jesus kingdom has two stages the first stage is when he died for his peoples sins and ascended to his father and sent the spirit to live in his peoples heart where is true throne is but his kingdom will be established fully when he returns and all of creations will be restored and the people of God will reigh and rule with him in his kingdom. In jesus kingdom, he rules with righteousness and he was given this position by the hevanely father.
Transition
The author goes on to remind us he is God become king because he existed with God in the beginning.

Verses 10 - 14

He also says,

“In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth,

and the heavens are the work of your hands.

11 They will perish, but you remain;

they will all wear out like a garment.

12 You will roll them up like a robe;

like a garment they will be changed.

But you remain the same,

and your years will never end.” b

13 To which of the angels did God ever say,

“Sit at my right hand

until I make your enemies

a footstool for your feet”?

14 Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation

Teaching
Jesus existed in the beginning when the earth was created and the heavened painted by the finger of God. That jesus is the everlasting God become king through his dealth and exaltation. That jesus will come again and all the emenies of God the spritual powers, the people who reject him, evils itself will be subjected to him in his return and he will bring salvation to his people. What is this salvation its Gods Gift of forgivness and a share of the coming world in Jesus Kingdom, All we must do is beliieve that jesus is the son of God and he was crutixifed for your sins and that gift is made available to us who trust him.
Story
i dont know if your watching the news and there many wars or romors of wars and its honestly speaking its has made me think maybe jesus is returning soon and honeslty speaking it gives me great joy becuase i know his promises to me wil come to pass and it will also come to pass for you if you trust him. Amen
