1 내가 또 보니 힘 센 다른 천사가 구름을 입고 하늘에서 내려오는데 그 머리 위에 무지개가 있고 그 얼굴은 해 같고 그 발은 불기둥 같으며
2 그 손에는 펴 놓인 작은 두루마리를 들고 그 오른 발은 바다를 밟고 왼 발은 땅을 밟고
3 사자가 부르짖는 것 같이 큰 소리로 외치니 그가 외칠 때에 일곱 우레가 그 소리를 내어 말하더라
4 일곱 우레가 말을 할 때에 내가 기록하려고 하다가 곧 들으니 하늘에서 소리가 나서 말하기를 일곱 우레가 말한 것을 인봉하고 기록하지 말라 하더라
5 내가 본 바 바다와 땅을 밟고 서 있는 천사가 하늘을 향하여 오른손을 들고
6 세세토록 살아 계신 이 곧 하늘과 그 가운데에 있는 물건이며 땅과 그 가운데에 있는 물건이며 바다와 그 가운데에 있는 물건을 창조하신 이를 가리켜 맹세하여 이르되 지체하지 아니하리니
7 일곱째 천사가 소리 내는 날 그의 나팔을 불려고 할 때에 하나님이 그의 종 선지자들에게 전하신 복음과 같이 하나님의 그 비밀이 이루어지리라 하더라
8 하늘에서 나서 내게 들리던 음성이 또 내게 말하여 이르되 네가 가서 바다와 땅을 밟고 서 있는 천사의 손에 펴 놓인 두루마리를 가지라 하기로
9 내가 천사에게 나아가 작은 두루마리를 달라 한즉 천사가 이르되 갖다 먹어 버리라 네 배에는 쓰나 네 입에는 꿀 같이 달리라 하거늘
10 내가 천사의 손에서 작은 두루마리를 갖다 먹어 버리니 내 입에는 꿀 같이 다나 먹은 후에 내 배에서는 쓰게 되더라
11 그가 내게 말하기를 네가 많은 백성과 나라와 방언과 임금에게 다시 예언하여야 하리라 하더라
1 I saw another powerful Angel coming down out of Heaven wrapped in a cloud. There was a rainbow over his head, his face was sun-radiant, his legs pillars of fire. 2 He had a small book open in his hand. He placed his right foot on the sea and his left foot on land, 3 then called out thunderously, a lion roar. When he called out, the Seven Thunders called back. 4 When the Seven Thunders spoke, I started to write it all down, but a voice out of Heaven stopped me, saying, “Seal with silence the Seven Thunders; don’t write a word.”
5 Then the Angel I saw astride sea and land lifted his right hand to Heaven 6 and swore by the One Living Forever and Ever, who created Heaven and everything in it, earth and everything in it, sea and everything in it, that time was up—7 that when the seventh Angel blew his trumpet, which he was about to do, the Mystery of God, all the plans he had revealed to his servants, the prophets, would be completed.
8 The voice out of Heaven spoke to me again: “Go, take the book held open in the hand of the Angel astride sea and earth.” 9 I went up to the Angel and said, “Give me the little book.” He said, “Take it, then eat it. It will taste sweet like honey, but turn sour in your stomach.” 10 I took the little book from the Angel’s hand and it was sweet honey in my mouth, but when I swallowed, my stomach curdled. 11 Then I was told, “You must go back and prophesy again over many peoples and nations and languages and kings.”
애절한 기다림이 느껴집니다. (1-3절)

1 Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven, surrounded by a cloud, with a rainbow over his head. His face shone like the sun, and his feet were like pillars of fire. 2 And in his hand was a small scroll that had been opened. He stood with his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land. 3 And he gave a great shout like the roar of a lion. And when he shouted, the seven thunders answered.

2 And in his hand was a small scroll that had been opened. He stood with his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land.
2. 확고한 결의를 느끼게 됩니다. (4-7절)
6 세세토록 살아 계신 이 곧 하늘과 그 가운데에 있는 물건이며 땅과 그 가운데에 있는 물건이며 바다와 그 가운데에 있는 물건을 창조하신 이를 가리켜 맹세하여 이르되 지체하지 아니하리니

6 and swore by the One Living Forever and Ever, who created Heaven and everything in it, earth and everything in it, sea and everything in it, that time was up—7 that when the seventh Angel blew his trumpet, which he was about to do, the Mystery of God, all the plans he had revealed to his servants, the prophets, would be completed.
3. 주님의 애절한 마음과 단호한 심판에 대한 주님의 결의를 아는 우리는 어떻게 해야 합니까?
1) 두루마리를 가지라
8 하늘에서 나서 내게 들리던 음성이 또 내게 말하여 이르되 네가 가서 바다와 땅을 밟고 서 있는 천사의 손에 펴 놓인 두루마리를 가지라 하기로
8 The voice out of Heaven spoke to me again: “Go, take the book held open in the hand of the Angel astride sea and earth.”
2) 두루마리를 먹어버리라
9 내가 천사에게 나아가 작은 두루마리를 달라 한즉 천사가 이르되 갖다 먹어 버리라 네 배에는 쓰나 네 입에는 꿀 같이 달리라 하거늘
9 So I went to the angel and told him to give me the small scroll. “Yes, take it and eat it,” he said. “It will be sweet as honey in your mouth, but it will turn sour in your stomach!”
4 예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 기록되었으되 사람이 떡으로만 살 것이 아니요 하나님의 입으로부터 나오는 모든 말씀으로 살 것이라 하였느니라 하시니
4 But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say,
‘People do not live by bread alone,
but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
10 내가 천사의 손에서 작은 두루마리를 갖다 먹어 버리니 내 입에는 꿀 같이 다나 먹은 후에 내 배에서는 쓰게 되더라
10 So I took the small scroll from the hand of the angel, and I ate it! It was sweet in my mouth, but when I swallowed it, it turned sour in my stomach.
1 또 그가 내게 이르시되 인자야 너는 발견한 것을 먹으라 너는 이 두루마리를 먹고 가서 이스라엘 족속에게 말하라 하시기로
2 내가 입을 벌리니 그가 그 두루마리를 내게 먹이시며
3 내게 이르시되 인자야 내가 네게 주는 이 두루마리를 네 배에 넣으며 네 창자에 채우라 하시기에 내가 먹으니 그것이 내 입에서 달기가 꿀 같더라
1 The voice said to me, “Son of man, eat what I am giving you—eat this scroll! Then go and give its message to the people of Israel.” 2 So I opened my mouth, and he fed me the scroll. 3 “Fill your stomach with this,” he said. And when I ate it, it tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth.
3) 전해야 하리라
11 그가 내게 말하기를 네가 많은 백성과 나라와 방언과 임금에게 다시 예언하여야 하리라 하더라
11 Then they told me: “You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages, and kings.”
35 천지는 없어질지언정 내 말은 없어지지 아니하리라
35 Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.
12 하나님의 말씀은 살아 있고 활력이 있어 좌우에 날선 어떤 검보다도 예리하여 혼과 영과 및 관절과 골수를 찔러 쪼개기까지 하며 또 마음의 생각과 뜻을 판단하나니
12 For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.
