FOCUS

How many of us have been the recipient of kindness in a way we’ll never forget? Someone we don’t even know steps up & steps

in at just the right time. We find ourselves feeling all alone & overwhelmed only to have someone notice our plight who addresses

both of those issues by befriending & comforting us with their words & presence. Or the student on the autism spectrum being bullied

at school who finds a friend in the one who, at their risk of being hurt too, refuses to let that happen.

Just like moving toward people should be one of the defaults of our heart, so being kind to others should be too.

The call to be kind …

1. can be rejected but will never be revoked.

We don’t have to be kind to everyone, but we’re told to be kind to everyone.

2 Timothy 2:24 / Colossians 3:12

2. finds its fulfillment in Christ’s kindness to us all.

As in all things of utmost importance concerning how to live, Jesus is our example.

Ephesians 2:6-8 / Titus 3:3-5

Making It Real

1] Does this correct, convict, compel or comfort you?

2] In what ways do see the importance & impact of this?

Action Step

Write “Be on the look out to be as kind to as many people as possible today!” on a piece of paper & put it where you’ll see it each

morning. Ask God to empower you to do it with His love in His name. Keep track of any overt answers to your prayer.
