Introduction

Philippians 2:5–11 NKJV
5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Pray
Hebrews 11:1 says:
Hebrews 11:1 NKJV
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Faith isn’t passive, it is not weak. What then is our hope? In what do we put our faith?
Titus 2:13 NKJV
13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,
Our Hope is in that name—Jesus. THERE IS POWER IN THAT NAME. DEVIL’S ARE COMMANDED TO RESPECT THE AUTHORITY OF THAT NAME.
When we can grasp the authority of that name, then our faith can be unleashed.
THAT NAME AFFECTS THREE WORLDS
Philippians 2:10 NKJV
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
Heaven, Earth, Hell and the Grave

Point 1: Heaven

Let's begin with heaven. Philippians 2:9-10 says, "Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth." In heaven, the name of Jesus holds supreme authority
That name was with us from the beginning. All things in heaven are subject to that name.
Hebrews 10:12–13 NKJV
12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, 13 from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool.
Matthew 28:18 NKJV
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
As Jesus hung on the cross, a darkness enveloped the land, and the heavens themselves seemed to respond. In the Gospel account of the crucifixion, it is recorded that the sun went black.
This isn’t a game. Our blessed hope is coming back to get us. He is not coming back to take sides, He is coming to take over!
Are we ready? Are we practicing that active faith that Jude talked about when he said, “CONTEND FOR THE FAITH THAT WAS ONCE DELIVERED TO US?”
When Jesus was up on that cross heaven got the message. The Sun turned black.
Talk about the eclipse
The name of Jesus has authority over heaven. The elders, the angels, the four living creatures all the hosts of heaven bow before the throne of Jesus Christ. That name pervades three realms..
Heaven got the message.
That name has authority in three worlds… not just on heaven, but in earth.

Point 2: Earth

‌At the crucifixion, Jesus hung on the cross, suffering for the sins of humanity. It was on this earth that He willingly endured the weight of our transgressions. As He forgave those who crucified Him (Luke 23:34), we witness the profound authority of His name to bring forgiveness, reconciliation, and salvation to a broken world.
‌When the blood of Jesus hit the ground, it was the most holy thing to touch the soil since the hand of God when He made us.
Earth got the message.

Point 3: The Grave

Philippians 2:10 declares that every knee shall bow "under the earth" at the name of Jesus. Even the grave itself cannot escape the sovereignty of His name.
As we reflect on the crucifixion, we see how Jesus conquered death. He was laid in a tomb, but on the third day, He rose from the dead, triumphant over the grave. In doing so, He shattered the power of sin and death. As 1 Corinthians 15:55-57 reminds us, "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." The grave could not hold Him because of the authority vested in His name.
Jesus went to preach in hell.
Talk about how He passed the prophets
Talk about how He took the keys
Matthew 27:53–55 NKJV
53 and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many. 54 So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God!” 55 And many women who followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering to Him, were there looking on from afar,
That name that has been given to us has ALL AUTHORITY?
HOW ARE YOU USING IT?
