Okay, we have learned this next fruit before, but this time, we are going to switch it up.
Faithfulness.
What is Faith? What does it mean to be faithful?
To trust in God, to believe in God, to believe in something we don’t see, to know someone will come through for you.
Does everyone here believe in Jesus? (why or why not?) Has anyone of you ever seen Jesus?
So if no one has seen Jesus, how do we know Jesus exists?
By faith! We believe God created all things, that he sent his son to die for us so we can spend eternity with him.
So what about having faith that he can help us through sticky situations? Or to know that if we are faithful, he will help us get out?
Did you know that faith in God is so strong it can do amazing things?
bring out the mustard seed.
What is this?
This…is a mustard seed.
New Living Translation Chapter 17
“I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.”
So if you even have faith as small as this…its powerful enough to move a mountain.
NOTHING is impossible with faith.
So how do you be faithful?
Pray, trust in God, do not worry
Why do we need to be faithful?
Because when we are faithful, God pulls us through and lives within us.
Because this is pleasing to God and he calls his kids to be FAITHFUL
