The Apple Of His Eye!

King James Version (Psalm 121:1-4)

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills,

From whence cometh my help.

2  My help cometh from the LORD,

Which made heaven and earth.

3  He will not suffer thy foot to be moved:

He that keepeth thee will not slumber.

4  Behold, he that keepeth Israel

1. God speaks of the Jewish people and therefore the nation of Israel as the apple of His eye!

If you say that someone is the apple of your eye, you mean that they are very important to you and you are extremely fond of them. Penny's only son was the apple of her eye. Synonyms: favourite, pick, choice,

2. In His Word we understand that there will be great tribulation unlike the world has ever seen.

The bigger part of the tribulation is focused upon Israel.

This is known as the time of Jacobs trouble.

3. The fact is that things are setting up for the return of Christ and Israel is the center stage for His return.

Israel was the nation through which jesus was born.

Israel was the nation that Jesus was first sent unto.

Israel was the area where Jesus was crucified.

Israel was the area that He rose and ascended into Heaven.

Israel is the area where He will return in clouds of glory.

Therefore Israel is the epicenter of end time events.

Which takes us to our current day and latest events.

In light of the statements previously made what relevance do recent events have when it comes to the end times?
