Jesus heals
Jesus heals
Jesus, through Peter, heals two people. He is validating Peter’s Gospel ministry and drawing people to himself.
read 9:32-43
The same God who healed disease and brought people back from the dead in the Old Testament is who sent Jesus to heal disease and bring people back from the dead. And this same Jesus who had this ministry is the one who’s name Peter is proclaiming. These miracles connect it all, demonstrate the truthfulness and validity of the Gospel, and cause people to believe!
And I think God is also reminding Peter what He is doing before sending him on his next mission.

Jesus heals every kind of person
God is making Peter, and us, understand that this Gospel of Jesus is not just for the Jews, but for all people who call on his name.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him.
If there is time, take a minute to talk about the charismatic gifts.
The Gospel is not exclusive to any certain kind of person or people. God has not made any certain group better than another. He hasn’t hidden himself from some kinds of people.
This kind of prejudice is sinful. Peter has finally understood this and he stands against it.
