God vs Heathen

Why do the heathen rage?

Heathen= godless, infidel, irreligious, pagan, ungodly, and agnostic.

And why do they imagine vain things

Imagine- meditate.

Since the beginning of time, people or I should say the heathen have always come against God.

We are seeing this play out right now in front of our eyes. With Israel and the rest of the world. Every one seems to be against Israel. But in the end times that is what is going to happen. We should not be surprised. Israel has been in one way or another persecuted.

But we go back to the heathen and it is a condition of the heart.

Let’s look at Cain and Abel. Cain had issues with his heart.

Some of us in this room, have issues with our heart. Maybe not to go out and commit murder.

How many of us have bad thoughts. And I can tell you if i would have you raise your hand which I am not. But If I did every hand would be up. And if your hand was not up then you would be a liar.

They rage and meditate on vain things. They do not have the fear of the Lord.

If you do not have the fear of the Lord, then you are watching porn, using drugs, being lazy another way to put it is slothful. Maybe your not watching porn or using drugs, listen to this but there is something wrong.

Proverbs 21:25 “The desire of the slothful killeth him; For his hands refuse to labour.”

What kind of labor, I am not referring to a regular job. I am not referring to your regular 8-5.

Im not even referring to the mnistry.

I am referring to you own devotional life to God.

How is it, do you have one.

I am not referring to reading the bible but walking in the Spirit with God.

Even the devil can read the bible. and the devil knows the scripture.

Majority of so called Christians do not have a devotional life. They do not read the word. because they are slothful. They put every excuse before the word of God.

Proverbs 26:14 “As the door turneth upon his hinges, So doth the slothful upon his bed.”

Hebrews 6:12 “That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”

So the heathens rage and meditate on vain things evil things

Christians are busy about our Father’s business. We meditate on His word day and night.

When we constantly are putting God’s word into our minds into lour life's, then we do not have room for anything else.

Philippians 1:11 “Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.”

1 Corinthians 6:19 “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”

The heathen, does not allow God to reign in their life’s. The heathen does not fear the Lord. The heathen does not realize that their body is not theirs.

Everything in earth is not ours. When you die, that house will go on to someone else, does not belong to you. That car, when you die will go to someone else, does not belong to you, your children, when you die will go on living their life’s, they do not belong to you. You wife, when you die. She will go on living her life, she does not belong to you.

as you can see nothing belongs to you, even if you think you own it.

Not even our bodies belong to us, they belong to our Father.

Imagine that.

Why do the heathens rage, because they are not filled with the Spirit of God, they are filled with the spirit of this world. Which keeps them blind.

Twin brothers David and Jason Benham were five weeks into filming their reality TV show when HGTV decided to pull the plug on the house flipping series. A liberal watchdog website said the brothers had spoken out in favor of traditional marriage and that their father was a pro-life activist. There was a social media campaign to pressure HGTV to cancel the show, and it worked.

The brothers refused to give in to political correctness, responding, “If our faith costs us a television show then so be it.” Just as Daniel refused to bend his knee to the false gods of his day, these brothers are standing for what they believe.

The kings of the earth set themselves- The word set here is used as a military word. Meaning they are setting up themselves for battle. They come together and counsel to see how they can go against the Lord and his anointed. here the word anointed is referring to Jesus Christ.

Hosea 8:4 “They have set up kings, but not by me: They have made princes, and I knew it not: Of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, That they may be cut off.”

Do you remember Saul, that was a King that was requested by the people, not by God. God allowed it to happen and even warned the people of Israel what would happen but they did not care. They wanted a king like the rest of world.

Do you want to be part of the world? Do you want to compromise with the world? Do you want someone else to rule your world. For some. the world is leading them. Hear them speak and you will see. Some people have the Christina lingo, but every so often words come out and the wolf comes out.

I had a meeting this part week. I had to take the call here at church. So I went upstairs. The person on the other side of the call asked me if I was at church (Zoom Meeting). I said yes, he asked me if I was a Christian, of course I said yes. He proceeded to tell me that he was also a christian. So we started the meeting and 30 seconds into it. A few bad words came out.

Is that how a Christian need to represent God. NO

You are setting up yourselves against God.

We are ambassadors of this world, we do not belong to this world.

The kings of this earth are fighting against God because they belong here, they are part of the world.

Again are you part of the world?

Do you belong here?

What changes have you made in your life?

How do you know you are drawing closer to God.

How is your Spirit Filled life and walk with my heavenly father.

Listen o what scripture says about kings.

Daniel 2:21 “And he changeth the times and the seasons: He removeth kings, and setteth up kings: He giveth wisdom unto the wise, And knowledge to them that know understanding:”

God has the ultimate word.

I named this message God vs the Heathen. But is there even chance for the heathen.

Let’s look at verse 4

1 Kings 18:27–29 “And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked. And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them. And it came to pass, when midday was past, and they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that there was neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any that regarded.”

We Christians are often in the same predicament. We live in a dimly lighted world, where sin is the rule and not the exception. And yet we are really children of the light. We must always be on our guard that we do not become so accustomed to the darkness of our world that we think it is normal and conform to its dubious guidelines. It is not normal. The dim moral and spiritual insight of the world is not the standard that the Christian is to walk by

But that the way God made me.

No, God did not make you to stay as you are. He made you to be a child of His. growing in understanding, growing in Faith, growing, in Love.

So He can mold you as He deems fit.

Are you allowing yourself to be the clay in the potter’s hand.

Let’s skip down to Verse 12

Kiss the son.

The word Kiss here, is to express obedience.

If you do not obey God, His wrath will fall upon you.

Those that will not take the trip with us, will be left behind. The wrath of God will show itself during the tribulation, which is for Israel, but for the people who were left behind, it will overflow to them as well, if they become a Christian.

Blessed are they who put their trust in him.

Do you put your trust in Him.

Really do you.

Or is it a cliche for you.

Jesus is King

Most Christians as I mentioned earlier, talk the good talk, but they can’t walk it.
