14 As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, 15 but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
Verse 14 says that we as Christians have a former ignorance. How should our understanding of what is holy change once we are saved?
What does it mean to be holy?
If we are to be holy as the the one who has called us is holy we must first know how holy God is. What does Isaiah 6:1-4 and Revelation 15:3-4 say about God’s holiness?
How can a Christian be holy as God is holy? Read John 14:23-26. Does this passage give us hope that we can live a holy life?
What does 1 Corinthians 10:31-11:1 tell us about how we ought to live a holy life?
Why is it important to belong to a community of believers (a local church) to help us live a holy life? Hebrews 10:24-25.
What does our speech have to do with wether or not we are living a holy life? Matthew 15:10-18, Luke 6:43-45.
What is holy speech? Ephesians 4:29, Colossians 4:6.
