2. and the one sitting on it had a bow and it was given to him a crown and he went out overcoming and in order that he might overcome.
3. And when He opened the second seal, I heard the second living one saying, “Come.”
4. And another came, a fiery red horse, and the one seated on it was given to him to remove the peace from the earth and in order that they would slaughter one another and it was given to him a great sword.
5. And when He opened the third seal, I heard the third living one saying, “come!” And behold! a black horse, and the one sitting on it having a scale in his right hand.
6. And I heard a voice in the midst of the of the four living ones saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius and three quarts of barley for a denarius, but olive oil and wine you may not harm.”
7. And when He opened the fourth seal, I heard a voice from the fourth living one saying, “come!”
8. And I saw, and behold! a sickly green horse, and the one sitting upon it, his name [is] death, and Hades follows after him and authority is given to him over a fourth of the earth to kill with [the] sword and with famine and with death and by wild beasts of the earth.
9. And when He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those slaughtered because of the word of God and because of the witness they had.
10. And they cried out with a loud voice saying, “How long, Master, the Holy and True One, will you not pass judgment or vindicate our blood from those who are dwelling on the earth;
11. Then He gave them each a white robe and He Himself said to them that they will rest yet for a short time, until these things are completed and their fellow slaves and their brothers those who are about to be killed also like them.
12. And I saw when He opened the sixth seal, and a great earthquake occurred and the sun became black as sackcloth made of hair and the whole moon became like blood.
13. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree casts its unripe figs being shaken by a great wind,
14. And the heaven was split apart like a scroll is being rolled up and every mountain and island was removed from its place.
15. And the kings of the earth and the high ranking officials and the generals and the wealthy and the powerful and every slave and freeman hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains.
16. And they said to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall down upon us and hide us from Him who is seated upon the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb,
17. “Because the great day of His wrath came, and who is able to stand?”
