Why build Leadership Teams
Why build Leadership Teams
We need to know we all have limits as leaders and we cant do it alone so we need help to do more work.
Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.
2. The process of becoming like christ includes both spiritual grow and service.
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
3. God shares & Multiplys his work through people, we are to share and multiple the work with people.
God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

Recruitment
Recruitment
As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” At once they left their nets and followed him.
Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them, and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.
One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, the people were crowding around him and listening to the word of God. He saw at the water’s edge two boats, left there by the fishermen, who were washing their nets. He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat.
When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.”
Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.”
When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.
When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said, “Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!” For he and all his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken, and so were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, Simon’s partners.
Then Jesus said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid; from now on you will fish for people.” So they pulled their boats up on shore, left everything and followed him.
Jesus did something radical because he went to the disciples instead of the disciples coming to him.
Jesus knew peter shortcomings but he saw his humility to learn and grow.
Jesus had a role and responsiblity for peter.
Training
Training
The model of training jesus modled is called appreinticeship which is where we teach and show people how to be christ like and service like christ.
We are training people to grow in christlikeness and grow in service.
We are all called to service in the same way but we are all called to grow in christlikeness
For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.
Roles & Responsiblity
Roles & Responsiblity
And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
Jesus knew from the beggining what he was training peter to become which was a apostlic leader in the early church. He gave him that role and responsiblity after christ dealth and resurrection.
In the same way we perpare a role and resposniblity for those who we recruit and train in our ministries
