Quick summary, We have learned that jesus is greater then the angels, he has bought our salvation with his blood and let us endure in the midst of hardship and tempatation becuase what waits us is much greater.

Hebrews 2:14–18 NIV

Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil—and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham’s descendants. For this reason he had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people. Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.

I remeber when i was in junior high, i was laying in my bed late in the evening trying to go to sleep. I couldnt sleep becuase i was thinking about was what happens to me when i die? i Remember going to bed crying becuase i was scaried.

Teaching

Hebrews 14 starts by telling us one of the reasons jesus became humans and why it was nessecry was becuase all humans since the beginning of time have been afriard of dealth. The power of dealth is held by the devil which means the one who tempts. He has power over humanity becuase he lies to them and keeps them blind from the truth? The question is what the truth and the truth is jesus defeated dealth and prmoises us that we will also overcome dealth and be ressurrected. The end for belivers isnt rot or nothingless but a hope resurrectiion.

The scriptures goes on to tell us he become human becuase had to become like us to save us. He was temoted and trailed and evenually excuted so that he can make atonement. The word atonement means to cover our sins. He did just come to die for your sins and cover them but he is actively alive and able to help you now because he understands what its like to be human and face temptation like us.

Story

Many times whne your young you feel isolated and alone becuase you think what your struglling iwth or the questions you have people or even the addictions you have no one else has faced them by the bible sames there no temptation that is uncommon to man. What happens when your temptation do you go to your parents for help. No becuase were afraid that he will punish us instead of help us. The bible is saying when your tempted run to jesus becuase he wants to help you.

I was us to run to jesus tonight with our fears, questions and addictions and ask for his help?
