Me: Far too easily I tolerate things I know I shouldn’t. For example,
We: Can you relate to this? When someone annoys you, do you speak up or say something?
God: Does God tolerate us?
This is where it gets fascinating; God both does and doesn’t tolerate our sins. God steps in to receive the punishment we deserve and then places that righteousness on us!
We: We are called to be in the world but not to conform to the world.
we must figure out the balance.
Jesus clearly calls us to righteousness and holy living, that is not up for debate.
Do we, then, trust that Jesus’ way of reaching the world—through righteousness and love—is effective?
Me: God wants to use you, through being holy and righteous, to remain steadfast in that love until he comes back, and trust that in that state of holy righteousness, He will use you, empower you, and do great things in you and through you.
Our reward is to receive Jesus—the Morning Star.
