The Trusting (Faith)
Faith - faith is not a wish. It is reliance upon and full confidence in the promises, provisions, and the person of God. (He’s trustworthy, tried, and true)
Faith doesn’t help us win. It helps us to lose.
Faith doesn’t help us to get the victory. It helps us to surrender.
Faith doesn’t help us acknowledge our power. It helps us to acknowledge our weakness.
Faith doesn’t let us see miracles around us. It helps us to see miracles within us.
Faith doesn’t just move God’s hand. It humbles our hearts.
Faith doesn’t just help us to live spiritually. It helps us to die to self.
WE NEED TO STOP STRUGGLING AND START SURRENDERING. WE CAN ONLY DO THAT BY FAITH.
The Timing (Now Faith)
Don’t wait to have faith. Have faith now, that way when the trial comes, you’ll already have faith.
The Testing (Faith Is)
Faith ISN’T. Faith IS! Not wondering, not guessing, Faith IS!
Because God is, we can NOW faith, and that faith in God IS, not ISN’T.
Verses
Verses
Deuteronomy 4:24 “For the Lord thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.”
Contemporary Christianity has turned God into our homie, and no more holy. Our pal, instead of pure.
Deuteronomy 10:17 “For the Lord your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:”
Our God is the only God! I am the Lord, and beside me there is none else!
Deuteronomy 33:26–27 “There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, Who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, And in his excellency on the sky. The eternal God is thy refuge, And underneath are the everlasting arms: And he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; And shall say, Destroy them.”
Shelter or protection from danger or distress.
Job 33:12 “Behold, in this thou art not just: I will answer thee, That God is greater than man.”
God is not on the same spectrum as man.
Job 36:5 “Behold, God is mighty, and despiseth not any: He is mighty in strength and wisdom.”
Almighty - being of unlimited might; being of boundless sufficiency, possessing all power.
Psalm 54:4 “Behold, God is mine helper: The Lord is with them that uphold my soul.”
No one can help but God.
When Joseph was sold into slavery, God was with him.
When Peter was sinking in the water, Jesus saved him.
When you were lost and undone without God, Christ helped you.
Psalm 56:9 “When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: This I know; for God is for me.”
If God be for us, who can be against us? God is rooting for you!
Psalm 68:20 “He that is our God is the God of salvation; And unto God the Lord belong the issues from death.”
Genesis 22:8 “And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.”
Genesis 50:22–25 “And Joseph dwelt in Egypt, he, and his father’s house: and Joseph lived an hundred and ten years. And Joseph saw Ephraim’s children of the third generation: the children also of Machir the son of Manasseh were brought up upon Joseph’s knees. And Joseph said unto his brethren, I die: and God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land unto the land which he sware to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. And Joseph took an oath of the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you, and ye shall carry up my bones from hence.”
Exodus 13:17–19 “And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt: But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt. And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him: for he had straitly sworn the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you; and ye shall carry up my bones away hence with you.”
Psalm 116:5 “Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; Yea, our God is merciful.”
Our God is FULL of MERCY
Micah 7:18 “Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, And passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? He retaineth not his anger for ever, Because he delighteth in mercy.”
Isaiah 49:7 “Thus saith the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, To him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, Princes also shall worship, Because of the Lord that is faithful, And the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.”
Not one time has God ever been unfaithful to us!
Jeremiah 10:10 “But the Lord is the true God, He is the living God, and an everlasting king: At his wrath the earth shall tremble, And the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.”
The true God.
The living God.
Everlasting King.
Isaiah 9:6–7 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: And the government shall be upon his shoulder: And his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, Upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, To order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice From henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”
