Here are the KEYS to Christian living:
I. The Mind. v.8

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Without the influence of intoxication.
Without the influence of ignorance.
Without the influence of imagination.
II. The Motive. v.9

Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
Love for the Saviour.
Love for the saints.
Love for the sinners.
III. The Master. v.10

We must have diligent service.
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus,
We must have devoted service.
after that ye have suffered a while,
We must have daily service.
make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
“perfect” Ephesians 4:11-12
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;”
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Jesus stablishes you.
Psa 119:38
Stablish thy word unto thy servant, who is devoted to thy fear.
Rom 16:25
¶ Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.3

Jesus strengthens you.
Ephesians 6:10 “10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.”
Jesus settles you.
Philippians 4:7 “7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
