The Man Jesus and The Divine Christ

Introduction

Some of us have encountered Jesus but we haven’t been introduced to the Christ. What do I mean? What I mean by this is we have experienced the man Jesus in all his humanity. We know the man Jesus that was tempted by all things and was yet without sin and able to sympathize with all our weaknesses and temptations (Hebrews 4:15) We know the Jesus that healed the sick and casted out demons. We know the Jesus that took on sin and bore the shame of the cross and was bloody and broken while He endured the wrath of the Father and was buried. We can identify with the Son of man, but can we identify with the Son of God?

Main Point #1

Jesus gave us an example of how we are to live in our mortal bodies. He was fully man and fully divine. He was the very mercy and compassion of God, but He also was the power and authority of God in the flesh.
